"What’s happening?” Medusa implored.
Tiamat raised her head and took in a great breath.
“We’re to be skewered by Diana and roasted by Tiamat,” Etsuyo said.
Tiamat approached them.
Medusa screamed from over Etsuyo’s shoulder, “I hear footsteps! Turn me around!”
Etsuyo felt a tingle through her fur and she grinned.
...Ha! I’ll be back for lunch and my ninth tail! That’s a fox’s luck!” Etsuyo’s paws danced. “Yip! Yip!”
She dashed down the dune and across the flats...Etsuyo leapt, snatching Medusa by the snakes and continued to race about the flats...
Etsuyo sat atop a dune with her eight tails wrapped about her paws while the ancient dragon Tiamat gave Cthulhu’s limp body another vigorous shake.
Lenny’s eyes lit up and he reached for the plant, but then he folded his hands.
“I can’t touch no trees. I’ll get us in trouble again.”
“‘Again’?” she puzzled. “Here.”
He took the tree.
Lenina smiled. “Tell me about your tree farm.”
“I’m going on shift again,” she said. “I’ll cover for you while you lay low a bit.” Even BiNDLed up she was much smaller than Lenny was in just his jumpsuit. “George and Slim will be here soon.”
Two men stood in the airlock of the Crooks Comet mining rig wearing BiNDLs.
George’s Bio-Neuro Demolition Limb was small with four articulated ice-chipping limbs folded behind his back calibrated to respond to his thoughts.
Lenny’s BiNDL was for heavy lifting. A huge, shapeless hunk of servos, grippers, a hammer, a maddock.
